On May 10, reporters learned that the second ketone-benzene unit at Daqing Refining and Chemical Company has successfully completed the oil replacement for its ammonia compressor, fully substituting imported specialty refrigeration oil with domestically produced alternatives. This achievement not only breaks reliance on imports but also creates significant cost-saving potential—procurement costs dropped by 62.33% year-on-year, and each single-machine oil change saves approximately 76,000 yuan.
The ammonia compressor is a core piece of equipment in the ketone-benzene unit's paraffin production process. Long-term dependence on imported refrigeration oil has led to high procurement prices, extended delivery cycles, and frequent risks of supply disruptions or delayed replenishment, placing multiple pressures on cost control and long-term stable operation.
To address this challenge, the equipment R&D team conducted a comprehensive analysis of operational parameters and operating conditions, performing multiple rounds of performance testing and compatibility trials on domestic lubricants. Ultimately, they identified a suitable domestic alternative that meets the unit’s specific requirements. After initial filling and sufficient circulation under no-load and low-load conditions, the compressor operated steadily throughout, with vibration levels consistently maintained within acceptable ranges A and B. Oil samples tested after 72 hours of operation showed full compliance with specifications, indicating excellent oil quality and no system leakage.
This successful domestic substitution of compressor oil significantly reduces both procurement and maintenance costs. Moreover, it establishes a complete set of practical experience—from technical selection and standardized operations to trial monitoring—that serves as a replicable and scalable model for other similar equipment across the company.
