On June 26, Liu Sheng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, professor of Wuhan University and chief scientist of Archimedes, said in a speech at the academician of the 2024 Silicon Carbide Power Device Manufacturing and Application Test Conference.
The theme of this conference is "Through the cycle, resilient growth", deconstructing the certainty of silicon carbide market growth and new business models, cutting-edge technology trends and landing application process. The conference was jointly sponsored by InSemiResearch and Xishan Economic Development District Integrated Circuit Industry Alliance, and was hosted by Silicon carbide Core Observation and electric vehicle thousand people. Nearly a thousand technical experts from the whole industrial chain such as silicon carbide substrate, epitaxy, wafer manufacturing, device design, modules, downstream applications, equipment material parts and components gathered in Wuxi.
The experts at the meeting agreed that at present, China's silicon carbide industry is "rolling crazy", "rolling" out of a strong, "rolling" out of confidence. Looking forward to 2024, driven by automotive applications, the market demand for silicon carbide devices is still hot, with the small trial production of 8-inch wafers, the industry competition will be gradually launched in a new stage.
